Made in Matobo supports mission work to improve the quality of life for people in southern Africa through agriculture.

Christ-Centered

While we are excited about land and animals, Jesus is the reason that we are where we are! Our faith is paramount to the work we do, and being witnesses for Jesus while living and working in the community here yields opportunities to share the gospel. God was here in Matobo District before we ever showed up, and we’re excited to see what He does through us and others!

Regenerative Agriculture

The healthier the land, the healthier the food that comes from it. The regenerative agriculture approach looks to not only stop damaging our ecosystem but actually improve it, all while continuing to be productive. Most people would agree that this approach focuses on improving soil health by moving carbon back into our soils using a variety of agricultural management practices that work in alignment with natural systems.

Community Development

We believe that people in southern Africa have the ability to help themselves solve their own problems. We know many of them have backgrounds in agricultural areas. We simply get to be a bridge that launches them forward with unique tools and paradigm shifts. Empowering them to accomplish their goals is a win-win. We want to see individuals, families, and communities flourish, and this isn’t a simple task. It takes time and relationships to see the rewarding transformations that can happen.

Nutrition Mission

Did you know it is possible to have a full stomach but be under-nourished? We endeavor to produce the most nutritious food possible, and this is why we’ve chosen the farming approach that we have. Most kids in the area are fed a maize-based diet which keeps them from being hungry but lacks protein, vitamins, and other crucial nutrients. These children could use our food, but their families cannot afford it. We are looking at ways to develop an egg donation program where our pasture raised, nutrient dense eggs can go into the hands of students at the local primary school.
